Another model company from the former Eastern Bloc, UM hails from Ukraine.

UM's 1/72 scale BA-6 features flash-free mouldings and plenty of detail. It looks like it will build into an excellent little model.

It is only a pity that all of the hatches and doors are moulded shut, and as there are nolocating pics their position on the model is a bit vague.

Modellers have mixed feelings about rubber tyres but they will certainly make it easier to paint the rims, but I suspect that you will need something other than plastic glue to attach them.

Although many western modellers are interested in Soviet vehicles, I think that UM and some of the otehr Eastern European companies could do even better if they widened their range with some of the more popular western vehicles as well. After all, they have certainly got the quality right!

The above minor criticisms notwithstanding, this is a well produced, highly detailed model. Well done UM - more please!
