Alan's
1/35 scale Gepard
will be available online from Squadron.com
The Flakpanzer Gepard 38(t) was based on the late
Panzer 38(t) chassis with a centre mounted engine and a 20mm gun mounted
on the rear of the hull.
Alan's kit comprises 156 parts in injection moulded
styrene plus another 200 individual track links in plastic. A basic
interior is included in the kit, and the individual track links are a
very useful inclusion.

The plastic parts display a fair amount of flash,
in addition to sink marks and ejector pin marks in places. The detail on
the 20mm Flak gun is soft.
Although a reasonable result might be achieved
straight from the box after some preparation and effort, I would suggest
that this might be a good candidate for kitbashing and/or superdetailing.
There are several good articles on converting Marder IIIs into this
variant, and some of those articles would be a good place to start.
This is a great subject vehicle and the extra work
required will make the extra effort worthwhile.
Recommended for experienced modellers.
