TRAKZ newly released DUKW Canvas Cover for Italeri's 1/35 scale kit could
not be much simpler. There is one larger resin piece to cover the cargo
deck and one for the driver's compartment.
Both parts are beautifully cast in pale yellow resin. The driver's hood
has a casting block that will require some care when removing. The cargo
cover is almost ready to use. There are a few resin blocks on the top of
the part that will need to be cut off and sanded to shape. On my sample,
one of these small blocks had been snapped off and intruded on the resin
of the hood. This will need a little putty to restore the surface.
These covers will make a major difference to the appearance of your 1/35
scale Italeri DUKW.
