At the same time as releasing its M4A2 Hull, Trakz has also launched a 1/35 scale
early production Sherman turret. Although this turret will be an ideal
partner to the M4A2 (Mid) hull, it will also be suitable for many other
Sherman variants.
This early production turret is fitted with the 75mm gun and wide
mantelet, and features the Commander's hatch only.
The resin turret is supplied as a large casting, plus a ring for the
base of the turret, separate hatch parts, lifting lugs and mantelet. The
cast texture on the turret looks terrific on the bare resin.

The turned alloy 75mm gun barrel is another nice inclusion.
Resin casting quality is perfect on my sample. However, the usual caution
applies to removing parts from some fairly big attachment points.
Instructions are not supplied, but this set is so simple that they are
not really required.
If you are converting Academy's 1/35 scale M10 to an M4A2 using Trakz's
resin hull, this turret will be the logical companion for the project. It
will also be suitable for a number of other M4, M4A1 and M4A2 conversions.
Now where did I put my references for British M4A2s in Normandy?
Recommended.
