FirstLook

Decals for model aircraft continue to be released at an ever-increasing rate, but alternate markings for 1/35 scale military vehicles are still comparatively rare. Even more rare are decals for Allied subjects, with the exception of a big range of Canadian subjects from Ultracast.

Trakz is doing its bit to redress the balance with three new 1/35 scale decal sheets for US early to mid war vehicles, with particular emphasis on Tunisia 1942-43.

TX-0082 - 3" Registration Stencils 1941-43

This is a very versatile sheet with both pale blue and white registration/bumper numbers. Blue digits are supplied in solid and stencil styles. White letters and numbers are included, all in solid style.

TX-0083 - Stars & Flags North Africa 1942-43

It is great to see these decals available, as North African-based armoured vehicles were, in my opinion, amongst the most colourful and interesting US subjects of the Second World War with ID flags and alternate coloured stars and backgrounds.

TX-0084 - Unit Identifiers North Africa 1942-43

This set will be a perfect compliment for TX-0083, with plenty of choices of US Army unit identifiers in yellow and white for the North African campaign.

All the decals are printed in perfect register and carrier film is very thin.

No instructions are included, so some reference will be required to apply an authentic combination of markings on your model.

These three sheets are a very welcome addition to Trakz's growing range or armour decals.

Recommended.
