Originally issued by KMC, Trakz have now re released this conversion for a 75mm equipped M3 GMC Half Track.

The conversion is designed to be used with the Tamiya M21 81mm Mortar carrier (kit no. 35083), although the M2A3 halftrack, with some extra work will also do.

The set contains approximately 79 parts in resin, with a metal etch fret which is quite thick in appearance in this scale. The etched metal is used to make the gun shield and folds together nicely. One thing to note is that you have to make your own rivets on the outside of the gun shield. Location points for this are included on the metal by way of small indentations.

The resin parts are of a cream appearance and have little flash and are easy to cut away the casting lugs. These resin parts make up the floor, fuel tanks, armoured drivers visor, bumper bar and roller as well as the gun and cradle. The gun breech can be displayed as open or closed. A little bit of cutting and sanding is required on the donor kit, but the instructions, which are clear and easy to follow will guide you through this.

This is a great conversion of an important version of the M3 halftrack series.

Highly Recommended
