New from the Italian publisher IBN, Aviolibri Special
No 8 covers the A 129 Mangusta (Mongoose) attack helicopter.
This
is a book written for the modeller. It is in dual text of Italian and
English with the left hand column of each page in Italian.
The book covers:
- The development,
operational record (to date).
- Projected future of the
A129.
- Training of Mangusta
pilots.
- Colours and markings.
- Technical description.
The modelling aspect of the book
covers just two kits, the Cunarmodel and the Italeri offering, both in
1/72 scale. Thankfully, the lion's share of coverage is for the readily
available Italeri kit. It gives you a blow-by-blow description on how
to construct, detail and paint the kit.
The book is 20 x 28 cm and
comprises 64 glossy pages between cardboard covers. It contains 70
photographs, 26 of them in colour. The rear cover carries three colour
profiles illustrating the three different camouflage styles worn by the
Mangusta.
Aviolibri Special No.8 is a
great reference book for fans of rotary wing aircraft.
Recommended.
