Italeri's 1/24 scale Mercedes 600S looks to be a fabulous kit. Moulded
in black metallic-finish plastic and a high gloss finish, the kit
comprises four sprues of which one is chrome plated. The alloy wheels,
headlights, grille and badge are included on this chrome sprue.
As a curbside kit, the bonnet is moulded shut and
the underside of the car has the bottom of the engine moulded in place.
The kit offers a single construction option - a
glass sunroof. Italeri has simplified this step by moulding a recessed
cutting line in the outline of the sunroof. This should allow for
perfect fit of the clear sunroof piece.
The decal sheet is great with ten woodgrain
inserts, speedometer and the Mercedes nameplate.
Italeri's new 1/24 scale Mercedes 600S looks like a
great kit. I hope that we continue to see more releases to this standard
from Italeri.
