These are two new single figures from Construction Battalion, a fairly new line from VLS. The majority of releases to date have been individual construction materials, but several interesting figures are also available. The first of of the new figures under review is a worker with a hand saw who is nicely posed getting stuck into his construction task. This figure could be used in many different scenes, military or civilian. The bowl haircut suggests 1920s or 1930s; or possibly wartime Europe as the ideal venues. The second figure is a worker with a shovel. He is also well posed and suggests many vignette and diorama possibilities. Both are cast in a pale cream coloured resin with minimal holding blocks. Care will need to be taken when removing the sa and the shovel from their blocks though. In summary, these are both great looking and versatile figures in this new VLS brand, and I look forward to seeing more releases in this range.
