Warriors has four new releases that will appeal to modellers of 1/35 scale German artillery and Panzers. Set 35516 is a pair of Afrika Korps Ammunition Loaders. The two figures are made up from just three parts each. Each figure has one arm moulded to the body, holding a small artillery shell (50mm?). The integrally cast shells will make alignment and fit a breeze, and they suggest an association of the figures to a Panzer III, Pak 38 or a general ammo truck/trailer. Casting is excellent, and both figures are wearing the classic tropical shorts 35531 - German Artillerymen Set #1 (Tropical), comprises two figures in eight resin parts, plus a 105mm shell. The shell is moulded separately, so these guys could be used with any artillery piece employed in North Africa or Italy. However, the recently released AFV Club le.FH 18 105 mm howitzer will be a perfect setting for this crew. A loader figure wears shorts, and the Commander is in long trousers.
35532 - German Artillerymen Set #2 (Tropical) offers a second loader and the gunner pulling the firing cable. Once again, eight parts in perfectly cast resin make up the figures, and a resin 105mm shell is also included. The inclusion of these shells is especially welcome because, as nice as the AFV Club Howitzer is, it does not include a single round of ammunition! All four figures in these two companion sets are depicted at the moment before firing, and will look great in a diorama setting. 35537 - Wehrmacht Panzer Troops is three partial figures (torsos, heads and arms) of a Panzer crew. The figures all wear the Panzer tunic with open neck shirts. The crew has been designed specifically for Tasca's 1/35 scale Luchs (a gorgeous kit) in operation during Operation Goodwood, but they would really be at home in the hatches of any mid to late-war Panzer. This is another very nice batch of releases from Warriors. All Recommended. Thanks to VLS for the review samples These and other VLS products may be viewed at the VLS Website Text and
