Warriors has thee new releases that will appeal to modellers of 1/35 scale Operation Iraqi Freedom subjects.

The first of two of the releases are a crew for an M1A1. There are two figures in each release.

Set 35527 has one standing figure directing a second figure crouched on the hull of the vehicle. There are six crisply cast resin parts in this set. Set 35528 has another two figures. These crew members are posed for the turret hatches. The second set comprises eight parts. All four crew members are full figures, so the turret crew could be reworked as free standing. I especially like the crouched figure on the forward deck.

Set no. 35529 is a two-man crew for the M1025 Hummer - a driver and a gunner, resting his arm on his mortar. The pose would be equally appropriate if the .50 cal was installed instead. These figures are made up of 10 parts in total, including separate helmets. This permits excellent detail on the faces and a good undercut between the top of the heads and the lip of the helmets.

All figures are wearing the distinctive vests. The tank crew are somewhat smaller in height and physique that the Hummer figures.

The box art is pictured at the top of the page.

All of these new figure will be warmly welcomed by modellers working on the great selection of Operation Iraqi Freedom vehicles currently on offer.

Let's hope that we see some modern Desert Rats soon too - I have a couple of Challengers and AS-90s waiting for crews!

All Recommended.
